Le Cirque
This is a piece for flute and narrator. The narration is by my good friend Bill Gardiner. It’s basically a circus performance, with the ringmaster announcing each act and the flutist providing the soundtrack. It uses some fairly advanced extended techniques — my favorite is the steam calliope sound — but is all played on a normal flute. Each circus act is based on a friend of mine, and the lady with the trained dogs is my wife.
