The goal of this piece is to create a soundscape that represents a day in the life of a Superman-esque superhero. The inspiration comes directly from the film scores of the “Superman” movies, both original (John Williams) and recent (Hans Zimmer). There is also a few musical derivations from the Romantic era of music, specifically Richard Strauss’ “Also sprach Zarathustra” among others. There are different sections that portray the different parts of the hero’s day (hero introduction, flying/gliding, villain introduction, battle scene, hero’s defeat, and hero arising from defeat).
